Gianpaolo Turri is currently the President for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), as well as for the USA, of Adamant-Namiki, a Japanese precision components manufacturer with over 1,000 employees and revenues in excess of $300m. He holds a PhD in Plasma physics, a MsC in Fluid Mechanical Engineering and MsC in Nuclear Engineering. His responsibilities at Adamant-Namiki include p&l, administration, sales, marketing, production (USA), innovation (global) R&D (EMEA and USA) and partnerships. He reports directly to the chairman of the group and owner of the company. He is also VP for global innovation, having created 3 hubs (two in the USA, one in Singapore) and managed the Swiss innovation hub for 4 years already. Gianpaolo has an executive role in the Swiss chapter of the Young Presidents Organisation (YPO) and sits in the board of a health-tech startup currently in stealth mode. Before joining Adamant-Namiki, Gianpaolo was an R&D manager at Abbott, dealing with a team of engineers, project managers and technicians developing stents and pta balloons. Hobbies and interests: playing football, sailing, skiing, travelling and meeting new cultures. Gianpaolo lives in Lausanne, Switzerland, and is the singer in a local rock band.
